The CDL Driver is a key player in the transportation and logistics team, responsible for safely operating large commercial vehicles to move materials across distances. You will navigate highways and local roads, manage cargo loading and unloading, and ensure everything is secured for safe delivery. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety protocols. Drivers perform routine vehicle inspections, keep vehicles clean and in good working order, and maintain accurate trip records, including hours, mileage, and fuel usage. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to develop specialized driving skills and play a critical role in keeping goods and materials moving for Allan Myers along the eastern seaboard.
CDL Class B Drivers handle single vehicles that weigh between 26,001 and 73,280 pounds. You will load transport goods, materials, and Allan Myers equipment locally or on shorter regional routes, paying attention to state regulations. Class B drivers may drive the following vehicles:
- Dump Truck
- Tack Truck
- Water Truck
- Sweeper
- TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuator)
CDL Class A Drivers operate heavy-duty combination vehicles like tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tankers with a GVWR of 26,001+ pounds, often towing trailers over 10,000 pounds. You will haul freight both locally and over longer distances, manage cargo securement, and navigate interstate routes with precision. This role demands strong driving skills and attention to state and federal safety regulations. Class A drivers may drive the following vehicles:
- Lowbed/Lowboy
- Tanker
